On October 5, the General Assembly Commemorating the 34th Anniversary of the 30,000 Couples Blessing was held in grand style in the International Conference Room on the sixth floor of the Main Building at Sun Moon University. The gathering offered an occasion to look back on the 34-year path of faith walked by these blessed families and to pledge global solidarity and the raising of the next generation. Attended by blessed family members from across Korea, the assembly served as a forum to reflect on a history of devotion and to proclaim a new vision.
The event opened with Secretary-General Kwon Gyeong-hun serving as emcee. Participants reflected deeply on the journey of faith that blessed families have walked over the past 34 years in accordance with the Will of Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
Association President Kwon Hyeon-jong emphasized, “Let us bring hope to society and the world by constantly practicing the value of true love in our daily lives.”

In particular, the assembly passed and announced a resolution to change the organization’s name to the 30,000 Couples World Blessed Families Association. More than a simple change of name, the measure expresses the association’s determination to greatly expand global solidarity among the 30,000 Couples blessed families, who are spread throughout the world beyond national borders and race, and to strengthen its central role in the world peace movement.

The association’s long-standing devotion to the next generation also shone. Through its scholarship program, now in its 15th year, scholarship certificates and scholarships were presented at the event to 14 second-generation children of blessed families. It was a meaningful moment in which the heritage of faith and the spirit of true love of the elder generation were passed on to the next.
Building on the heritage of faith of the past 34 years, the members who attended the assembly pledged with one heart to create a hopeful future centered on True Parents’ Will under the new name, the 30,000 Couples World Blessed Families Association.
