WithU has established these Terms of Use for its users. These Terms set forth the rules and conditions applicable when users visit and use the Site.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Use set forth the basic terms and conditions governing the use of news, informational content, and related services provided through WithU (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”), operated by HJPMC Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”).
Article 2 (Definitions)
① “User” means any person who accesses the Site and uses the services provided by the Company.
② “Services” means news, articles, images, videos, and other informational services provided through the Site.
③ “Content” means all materials provided through the Site by the Company or a lawful rights holder, including articles, text, images, photographs, videos, audio, graphics, and other materials.
Article 3 (Effectiveness and Amendment of the Terms)
① These Terms shall be posted on the Site so that Users may review them.
② The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
③ When the Company amends these Terms, it shall provide notice through the Site prior to the effective date, specifying the effective date and the material changes. If an amendment materially affects the rights or obligations of Users, the Company shall provide notice sufficiently in advance.
④ Where separate consent from Users is required under applicable laws and regulations, the Company shall follow the procedures required by such laws and regulations.
Article 4 (Provision and Modification of Services)
① The Company provides various information and Content, including news, articles, images, and videos, through the Site.
② The Company may modify all or part of the Services when necessary for the operation of the Site or for technical reasons.
③ The Company may temporarily suspend all or part of the Services in the event of system maintenance, system failures, natural disasters, or other reasonable circumstances.
④ If a modification or suspension of the Services materially affects Users, the Company shall, where reasonably possible, provide prior notice of the details and reasons. However, where prior notice is impracticable due to an emergency, such as an unexpected system failure, notice may be provided afterward.
Article 5 (User Obligations)
① Users shall comply with applicable laws and regulations and these Terms when using the Site.
② Users shall not engage in any of the following activities:
- Interfering with or disrupting the normal operation of the Site or its servers;
- Infringing upon the rights of the Company or any third party, including copyrights, trademarks, portrait rights, reputation, or personal information rights;
- Circumventing or disabling security measures or access restrictions implemented on the Site;
- Reproducing, collecting, storing, or redistributing Content in large quantities by methods not authorized by the Company;
- Using automated programs or similar means in a manner that places an excessive load on the servers or interferes with the operation of the Site;
- Using the Site or Content for purposes that violate applicable laws and regulations; or
- Engaging in any other activity that infringes upon the legitimate rights of the Company or a third party or disrupts the normal operation of the Site.
③ The restrictions set forth in the preceding paragraph shall not apply to ordinary information collection by search engines, use of official sharing functions provided by the Site, or other methods expressly authorized by the Company.
Article 6 (Copyright and Use of Content)
① Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in Content posted on the Site belong to the Company or the lawful rights holder of the applicable Content.
② Except as permitted by applicable laws and regulations, Users may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, publish, modify, sell, or use Content for commercial purposes without the prior permission of the Company or the applicable rights holder.
③ Users may share links using the official sharing functions provided by the Site or share ordinary webpage addresses (URLs).
④ Use of Content for quotation, news reporting, research, or other purposes permitted under the Copyright Act of the Republic of Korea or other applicable laws and regulations shall be permitted within the scope prescribed by such laws and regulations.
⑤ When using Content, Users shall comply with applicable requirements, including attribution of the source where required by law.
Article 7 (External Websites and Services)
① The Site may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties for the convenience of Users.
② External websites and services, and the information provided through them, are the responsibility of their respective operators. Unless expressly indicated as being directly operated or managed by the Company, the terms and policies of the respective external websites shall apply to their use.
③ Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Company, the Company shall not be liable for damages arising from the use of external websites or services.
Article 8 (Protection of Personal Information)
① When processing personal information in the course of providing the Services, the Company shall comply with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws and regulations.
② Details concerning the purposes of processing personal information, categories of personal information processed, retention periods, destruction procedures, and the rights of data subjects shall be governed by the Privacy Policy posted on the Site.
Article 9 (Liability of the Company)
① The Company shall take measures reasonably necessary to provide stable Services.
② Where the Company is unable to provide the Services due to circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including natural disasters, war, telecommunications network failures, or power outages, the Company’s liability for service interruptions resulting from such circumstances may be limited.
③ Where information is provided based on materials supplied by external organizations or third parties, the Company may indicate that the accuracy or completeness of such information may be limited depending on its source and nature.
④ Nothing in this Article shall be construed to improperly limit any liability that the Company is required to bear under applicable laws and regulations or to exclude liability arising from the Company’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
① These Terms and all matters relating to the use of the Site shall be governed by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Korea.
② In the event of a dispute between the Company and a User, the parties shall endeavor to resolve the dispute through mutual consultation. If litigation is initiated, jurisdiction shall be determined in accordance with the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws and regulations.
Article 11 (Language)
① The Korean version of these Terms shall constitute the original version.
② The Company may provide translations of these Terms in English, Japanese, or other languages for the convenience of Users.
③ In the event of any discrepancy in meaning or interpretation between a translated version and the Korean original, the Korean original shall prevail, unless otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations.
Supplementary Provision
These Terms shall take effect on August 29, 2026.
