Beyond Borders: Youth United for Peace
The Balkan International Youth Summit for Peace 2026 took place in Mitrovica, Kosovo, from October 1 to 4.
Organized by YSP Balkans, the summit brought together more than 130 young leaders from 51 countries under the theme “Youth as Peace Practitioners: From Dialogue to Action” to discuss the role of young people in peacebuilding.
Through workshops and discussions, participants explored ways to promote cross-community youth exchanges, resolve conflicts, and address hate speech and social polarization. They also developed practical recommendations for building trust and cooperation across borders, reaffirming their commitment to putting peace into action in their communities.
