Honoring the Love of Parents and the Value of Family
A Parents’ Day celebration was held on July 26 in the Washington Times Arbor Ballroom in conjunction with the Capital Church Sunday Service. Some 240 members attended the event, which featured Dr. Michael Jenkins’ presentation on the establishment of Parents’ Day and an awards ceremony. Bishop Charles Dudley and Mrs. Marion Dudley received the Parents of the Year Award, while three families were honored with Community Parents Awards.
