Global 2026 New Year Prayer Gathering

Leaders and Blessed Families from around Korea and across the globe gathered at the Cheongshim Peace World Center and online on the evening of 11.12 by the heavenly calendar in the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk (31 Dec 2025) for the Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community Family Federation for World Peace and Unification 2026 New Year Prayer Gathering.

The gathering, which began at 10:30 PM Korea time and continued until 1:00 AM, was convened to welcome the new year with gratitude to Heavenly Parent and True Parents, and to reaffirm the unity and renewed determination of the Family Federation community as it set forth on a new beginning.

With Seo In-guk, Secretary-General of the World Mission Headquarters, serving as the MC for the event, the prayer gathering opened with praise offered by the Cheonmyeong Praise Team and the viewing of a commemorative video. The video provided those who had gathered the opportunity to reflect on their journey of faith and renew their resolve as blessed families walking together with True Parents in the fulfillment of God’s Will.

In his prayer of gratitude, Rev. Song Yong-cheon, President of FFWPU Heavenly Korea, expressed his
hope that blessed families worldwide would fulfill their responsibility as a chosen people united with
True Parents. He prayed that individuals, families, and communities would advance toward a more
upright and righteous way of life, standing firmly as trustworthy sons and daughters before Heaven.

Following this, the Hyojeong Offering Papers, containing the hopes and resolutions of blessed
families worldwide, were presented before Heaven. In this meaningful moment, blessed families gave
gratitude and glory to True Parents for bestowing this grace and pledged to fulfill their responsibility before Heaven as chosen people.

In his year-end address, Rev. Lee Gi-seong, President of Cheonshim Won, reflected on how the Cheonshim Won night vigils held during the past year, together with the heartfelt devotion of members around the world, had bound the community together as one. He emphasized that when we unite upon the victorious tradition of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, the power to open a new era becomes ever clearer. He concluded by encouraging all members to become one in spirit and truth throughout 2026 and to move forward together toward the new age.


The program then continued with prayer and praise led by Missionary Moon Shin-heung and the UPA Praise Team. They first offered a medley of holy songs, followed by additional selections including “The Lamp of Heaven,” “How Great Thou Art,” and “O Holy.”

Speaking before the praise songs, Missionary Moon Shin-heung encouraged blessed families to take pride
in their calling, proclaiming, “In the year of the red horse, the byeongo year, let us cross the vast fields of
darkness, illuminate Heaven’s providence, and open the era of Cheon Il Guk.”

At the stroke of midnight marking the close of the year 2025 and the start of 2026, True Parents’ New Year’s message resounded throughout the Cheongshim Peace World Center to usher in the dawn of the new year.

In the 13th year of Cheon Il Guk, when we attend the Creator Heavenly Parent substantially, let us, the blessed families around the world, become true sons and daughters of Cheon Il Guk who fulfill our responsibility as the chosen people in unity with True Parents!

Blessed families inscribed True Parents’ New Year’s message upon their hearts, offered repentance for the past, and renewed their determination for a new beginning. With a firm resolve to fulfill their filial devotion before Heavenly Parent and True Parents, they opened the year 2026 with faith and hope.

In his 2026 New Year message, Rev. Ken Doo, Director-General of the World Mission Headquarters, offered greetings for the new year and urged members to embrace it as a year of responsibility and wholehearted practice, emphasizing the importance of education and the Blessing. He went on to speak about attending Heavenly Parent in daily life and encouraged the global family to move forward with one heart, firmly walking the providential course.

The program then continued with a praise and prayer session led by missionaries Moon Shin-chul and Moon Shin-heung. The praise team offered songs including “In the Embrace of Parents,” “O My Little Lamb,” and “The Blessing.” Alongside these songs, prayers were offered by representatives, uniting the community’s hopes and resolutions for the new year into one heart.

Yutaka Yamada, Continental Director of FFWPU Heavenly Asia Pacific, prayed that members would walk with Heaven to the very end with unwavering faith and devotion, and that, united as one, Heavenly Parent’s Will might be fulfilled within their families, their societies, and throughout the world.

Both onsite and online participants then joined together in a unison resonating prayer, gathering their
hearts as one for the new year. This was followed by songs of resolution, as they joined in singing “We
Love You, Parents” and “Monarch Butterfly,” offering heartfelt gratitude and their filial love to Heavenly
Parent and True Parents.

Thus, the 2026 New Year Prayer Gathering concluded as a holy moment bridging the close of one year and the dawn of the next. Blessed families worldwide renewed their commitment to live centered on Heavenly Parent and True Parents and strengthened their determination to step boldly into a new era.
