Carrying forward the legacy of true love on the path to peace
Events celebrating the 14th anniversary of True Father’s Seonghwa were held from August 28 to 30, with blessed families and members worldwide participating in person and online.
At midnight on August 29, a commemorative ceremony was held at the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center, with Central Administrative Council Secretary-General Kim Jae-hyun as MC.
Missionary Moon Shin-heung conveyed his intention to fully carry on the tradition of love, faith, and blessing, which True Parents have bequeathed, to his children and the ensuing generations. Missionary Moon Shin-chul expressed his resolve to confidently step forward before the world with the belief that the truth will surely be revealed.
True Family members then offered floral tributes, and hyojeong cultural performances by the young people followed. Members resolved to embody in their lives the values of true love and peace that True Father had championed.
Holy-site pilgrimages were also held that day at Cheon Jeong Gung and Cheon Won Gung. As they visited the palaces, members reflected on True Parents’ providential course and love, and renewed their filial heart for Heaven.
Members from around the world were invited to attend a special service marking the Seonghwa anniversary at 10:00 a.m. Korea time on August 30. At the service, emceed by Heavenly Korea Church Vice President Kim Dong-yeon, Cheonshim Won President Lee Gi-seong prayed that all members would unite their devotions and work to realize a world of peace. Church President Song Yong-cheon emphasized the identity and roots of faith of blessed families.
Members had the opportunity to once more reflect on True Father’s life and accomplishments, and to strengthen their resolve to be agents of change in the world.
