A Promise of Peace, Hand in Hand
The seventh Teaneck Peace Festival was held on September 19 at New Jersey’s Milton A. Votee Park. Hosted by the Peace Islands Institute, it drew three hundred people, including local Family Church members and Peace Starts with Me Alliance New Jersey, to celebrate peace across cultures and faiths.
Clifton Family Church’s Japanese dance troupe, “the Crane Team,” performed a traditional Bon dance. Participants joined hands in a joyful Bridge of Peace ceremony to close the festival.
