Performances, Exhibitions and Experiences Highlight Hyo Jin Moon’s Life and Music, Passing His Culture of Heart and Hyojeong on to the Pure Water Generation

The 2026 Moon Hyo Jin Music Festival, an event reflecting on the meaning of love through the music and life of Hyo Jin Moon, was successfully held on August 23 at the Cheonshim Culture Center (Cheongshim International Youth Center).

Held under the theme “Eternal Love – Living Eternal Love,” the festival was organized to look back on the spirit of love that Hyo Jin Moon expressed through his music and life, and to carry its meaning forward into the way people live today.

Against the backdrop of challenges facing modern society—including the rise of single-person households, a lack of communication between generations, fractured relationships, and emotional isolation—the event raised the question, “How can we put love into practice in our lives?” In addition to performances, exhibitions and interactive programs were organized to highlight in various ways the spirit of Hyo Jin Moon, who went beyond speaking about love and sought to embody it through his life.

Participants of Pure Water Assembly 2026 also joined the festival. The young Pure Water participants experienced the exhibitions, activities, and performances together, reflecting on the culture of heart and the spirit of Hyojeong that Hyo Jin Moon left behind and considering how they could carry those values forward in their own lives.

Beginning at 2 p.m., the exhibition “The Journey of Love” explored the life of Hyo Jin Moon, who sought until the final moments of his life to share his parents’ love and teachings with as many people as possible. Through music, archival materials, and memories shared by those around him, visitors followed the course of his life, reflected on the moments in which he put love into practice, and considered how that meaning could be connected to their own lives.

At the same time, the “Love Village” offered a variety of interactive programs for visitors until 7 p.m. The space was designed to provide an approachable way for visitors to experience and share the message of Hyo Jin Moon’s life and love before and alongside the performances and exhibition.

At 3:30 p.m., the main performance, “Eternal Stage,” began. A diverse lineup including DJRAY, HJ Harmonics, From JtoHJ, and THE BABO filled the stage with music and performances, adding to the excitement of the festival.

In the highlight of the program, Moon Shin-heung, Moon Shin-jin & the Moon Hyo Jin Band took the stage and shared Hyo Jin Moon’s music with the audience. Through the performance, his music and spirit were brought to life once again, creating a moment in which the audience could experience together the meaning of “Eternal Love” and bringing the festival performance to a meaningful finale.

The 2026 Moon Hyo Jin Music Festival concluded as more than an occasion to remember one person’s music. It became a space to reflect together on how the love and culture of heart demonstrated through Hyo Jin Moon’s life can continue through future generations and in the lives of people today.
