The 2026 Moon Hyo Jin Music Festival will be held on the 23rd at Cheonshim Culture Center (Cheongshim International Youth Center).
Under the theme “Eternal Love – Living Eternal Love,” the festival is designed to reflect on the music and life of Hyo Jin Moon and to carry forward into everyday life the meaning of love that he embodied through the way he lived.
Against the backdrop of challenges facing modern society—including the rise of single-person households, a lack of communication between generations, fractured relationships, and emotional isolation—the festival raises the question, “How can we put love into practice in our daily lives?” Through the music, records, and life journey left by Hyo Jin Moon, the event highlights the value of not only speaking about love, but living it through action.
The main performance, “Eternal Stage,” will begin at 3:30 p.m. and feature Moon Shin-heung, Moon Shin-jin & the Moon Hyo Jin Band, as well as DJRAY, HJ Harmonics, From JtoHJ, and THE BABO. Through a variety of performances, the artists will present the music and spirit of Hyo Jin Moon in their own distinctive ways.
Beginning at 2 p.m., the exhibition “The Journey of Love” will explore the life of Hyo Jin Moon, who sought until the final moments of his life to share his parents’ love and teachings with as many people as possible. Through music, archival materials, and memories shared by those around him, visitors will be invited to follow his journey of putting love into practice and consider how that meaning can continue in their own lives.
The accompanying “Love Village” will also offer a variety of interactive programs for visitors from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. By connecting performances, exhibitions, and hands-on experiences into a single journey, the festival is designed to provide multiple ways of encountering and experiencing the meaning of the love Hyo Jin Moon left behind.
More than simply a gathering to remember the music of Hyo Jin Moon, the 2026 Moon Hyo Jin Music Festival will offer an opportunity to reflect together on how the love embodied in one person’s life can be carried forward to the next generation and into our lives today.
